Count Zero 20th anniversary show/party featuring The Shills and Bury Me Standing

In March 1996, the Hubble Telescope provided us with the first surface photos of Pluto. Also in March 1996, Boston provided us with the first surfacing of Count Zero. Twenty years later to the weekend, the Once Ballroom in Somerville is playing host to Count Zero’s 20th anniversary show. Peter and Will will be sharing their stage with umpteen Count Zero alumnae from the past 20 years coming from near and far to join them. They’ll be reviving the various incarnations of the band through the years, featuring selections from all of CZ’s many acclaimed and unique studio records.

The Shills, an extraordinary Boston band, will bring their brand of genre-bending rock to the stage after the CZ mega-set. The infamous Reverend Glasseye opens the night early with his newest project Gun Mother,https://www.facebook.com/gunmothermusic/, followed by the Balkan psychedelic dirge-core brilliance of Vessela Stoyanova and Nate Greenslit’s Bury Me Standing.
